Software Engineer, Carrier Applications

GoHealth, a leading health insurance marketplace, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Carrier Applications team. This role involves developing and maintaining business-critical software applications that streamline the insurance enrollment process, directly impacting the company's mission to simplify healthcare access.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing secure enrollment applications for insurance carriers, ensuring HIPAA compliance
• Implementing high-quality, reliable software following agile best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Ensuring code quality through reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly
• Continuously improving codebase performance, scalability, and security

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of software development experience, preferably in insurance, healthcare, or financial sectors
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Functional Programming) and experience with React, TypeScript, and CSS3
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing
• Experience with secure coding practices and test-driven development
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment
