Description For ASIC Engineer, Devices and Services

Google's Silicon Platforms team is seeking an ASIC Engineer to join their innovative hardware development efforts. This role combines digital system verification, architecture development, and cutting-edge silicon design to power Google's next-generation consumer products.

As an ASIC Engineer, you'll work on verifying complex SOC architectures, collaborating with hardware architects and design engineers to ensure robust functionality and performance of infrastructure IP, interconnects, caches, and memory systems. The role involves developing high-performance Verification IPs and implementing scalable verification methodologies across multiple IP blocks.

The position offers unique opportunities to work on Google's custom silicon solutions that directly impact millions of users worldwide. Responsibilities For ASIC Engineer, Devices and Services

  • Plan and execute the verification of the next generation configurable Infrastructure IPs, interconnects and memory subsystems
  • Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology
  • Develop cross language tools and scalable verification methodologies
  • Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases
  • Debug tests with design engineers to deliver blocks and subsystems

Requirements For ASIC Engineer, Devices and Services

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience verifying digital systems using standard IP components/interconnects
  • Experience with scripting languages and software development frameworks
  • Experience verifying digital logic at RTL level using SystemVerilog or C/C++
  • Experience with performance verification of SOCs, pre-Silicon analysis and post-Silicon correlation
  • Experience creating and using verification components and environments in standard verification methodology
