Cloud Solutions Architect, Rapid Innovation Team

Google Cloud is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect for their Public Sector Rapid Innovation Team. This role combines software development expertise with cloud architecture, focusing on helping government and educational institutions accelerate their digital transformations. As part of Google's Professional Services team, you'll craft prototypes using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, translate experiments into scalable market solutions, and work directly with customers to implement cloud solutions.

The position requires strong technical skills in full-stack development, cloud computing, and machine learning, along with the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical team members. You'll be responsible for leading solution workshops, developing prototypes within 6-week timeframes, and creating architectural designs that leverage GCP's full portfolio.

The role offers competitive compensation ($147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits) and requires an active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of customer-facing experience, strong technical expertise in cloud computing and software development, and the ability to translate complex customer needs into practical cloud solutions. Experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is highly valued, as is experience in sales or public procurement organizations.
