Description For Customer Engineer, AI/ML

Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in AI/ML to join their technical sales team. This role combines deep technical expertise in machine learning with customer-facing responsibilities, making it perfect for those who excel in both technical implementation and relationship building. As a Customer Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of Google Cloud's cutting-edge AI technology and enterprise solutions, helping customers understand and implement transformative cloud solutions.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10 years of cloud native architecture experience and deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks, model development, and deployment. You'll be working with various ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Jax, while utilizing AI accelerators such as TPUs and GPUs. German language fluency is essential for effective communication with clients.

Your responsibilities will span from technical solution architecture to customer relationship management. You'll be identifying business opportunities, resolving technical blockers, and working directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer environments. The role involves collaboration with sales teams, product management, and direct engagement with customers through presentations, proof-of-concepts, and technical consultations.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, AI/ML

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities
  • Share in-depth AI/ML expertise to support technical relationship with customers
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required

Requirements For Customer Engineer, AI/ML

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience with Machine Learning model development and deployment
  • Experience with frameworks for deep learning (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax, Ray, etc.), AI accelerators (TPUs, GPUs), model architectures
  • Ability to communicate fluently in German
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders
