Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Data and AI Migration Specialist to join their APAC Migration practice in India. This strategic role involves working on major Data Migration projects across India and APAC, combining customer-facing responsibilities with technical expertise. The position requires expertise in cloud computing, AI/ML, and data management, with a focus on helping customers adopt Google Cloud Platform's Data and AI solutions.

You'll be responsible for assessing workloads, planning migrations, and coordinating with various teams to ensure successful implementation. The position requires a strong technical background with 6 years of experience in cloud computing and expertise in AI/ML, particularly with tools like Vertex AI.

Responsibilities For Data and AI Migration Specialist, Customer Engineering
- Assess current application and infrastructure setup for our customers and assist in creating and executing migration plans
- Troubleshoot and partner with operations, support, engineering, or other functions to ensure successful migrations
- Conduct technical sessions for internal teams, partners, and customers and manage technical success and accelerated business growth
- Assist with creating cloud migration strategies, define architecture, collaborate to create migration plans, and design the orchestration of those plans
- Demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments
- Identify and qualify migration opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategies to resolve technical blockers
Requirements For Data and AI Migration Specialist, Customer Engineering
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 6 years of experience working as a Technical Engineer in a cloud computing environment
- Experience working as a member of a Professional Services/Systems Engineering team or in a customer-facing role
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Gen AI, and Software Engineering, including building agents, working with models, utilizing Vertex AI, and developing automation tools
- Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch / real-time event processing, streaming, data processing (ETL/ELT), data visualization tools and data governance on cloud native architectures
- Experience in technical sales or consulting in data management, data analytics, or Big Data
- Experience with architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design and query optimization of scalable and distributed systems
- Experience in understanding customer requirements with the ability to break down requirements and design technical architectures
