Description For Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager

Google is seeking a Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager to join their team in Skien, Norway. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing Google's data center operations. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge and program management skills, with a focus on maintenance planning and scheduling for mission-critical facility activities.

As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for managing maintenance work orders, collaborating with Data Center Operations teams, and working with vendors to ensure smooth operations. You'll utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) programs to develop and maintain schedules, manage equipment files, and oversee parts inventory.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 1 year of program management experience. Strong experience in mission-critical facility maintenance planning, CMMS programs, and developing long-term maintenance plans is essential. The role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as you'll be interacting with both internal customers and external parties.

Responsibilities For Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager

  • Manage the flow of all maintenance work orders by working with Data Center Operations teams, vendors and be responsible for the Planning and Scheduling of technicians, and parts needed to perform maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with SME's and facility management in the development and maintenance schedules and resource leveling by utilizing the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program
  • Establish and maintain CMMS equipment files, parts inventory, equipment bill of materials and Program Manager (PM) schedules
  • Manage process of launching a CMMS solution at the site level used in the daily operation of our data centers

Requirements For Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of program management experience
  • Experience in planning and scheduling of mission critical facility maintenance activities
  • Experience with third-party CMMS programs
  • Experience in developing long-term maintenance plans and forecasts
  • Experience in managing and scheduling maintenance vendors
  • Experience in planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, mechanical, electrical, controls, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact with internal customers and external parties, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
