Description For Data Scientist III, Product, Operations Data Science

Google's Operations Data Science (ODS) team is seeking a Data Scientist III to join their Climate Operations initiative. This role is crucial in helping Google achieve its ambitious Net Zero emissions and 24/7 carbon-free energy goals by 2030. As a Data Scientist, you'll work at the intersection of data analysis and environmental sustainability, providing quantitative support and strategic insights to drive decision-making across Google's Technical Infrastructure.

The position requires strong analytical skills, with a focus on statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying using tools like SQL, Python, and R. You'll be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, building prototypes, and translating complex findings into actionable business insights. The role involves close collaboration with the Climate Operations team and cross-functional partners to develop and scale decarbonization solutions.
