Description For CPU Design Verification Engineer

Join Google's innovative hardware team as a CPU Design Verification Engineer, where you'll be part of a diverse team developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role combines the best of Google's AI, Software, and Hardware capabilities to create groundbreaking experiences used by millions worldwide.

As a CPU Design Verification Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of future CPU developments through comprehensive verification processes. Your work will involve building sophisticated verification infrastructure across multiple levels - from unit testing to complete subsystem verification. You'll create and maintain diagnostic code repositories crucial for producing high-quality CPUs, and conduct both pre-silicon and post-silicon performance verification.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in verification methodologies, particularly UVM and SystemVerilog, with additional expertise in scripting languages like Python. Knowledge of Linux operating systems and ARM Instruction Set Architecture is highly valuable. Responsibilities For CPU Design Verification Engineer

  • Design verification for future CPU developments
  • Build functional verification infrastructure, including unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem level verification environments
  • Produce diagnostic code repositories that sufficiently enable production of quality CPU's
  • Verify and validate performance for both pre-silicon and post-silicon

Requirements For CPU Design Verification Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience with verification methodologies and languages such as UVM and SystemVerilog
  • Experience developing and maintaining verification testbenches, test cases, and test environments
