Description For CPU Design Verification Engineer

Join Google's innovative hardware team as a CPU Design Verification Engineer, where you'll be part of a diverse team developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role combines hardware expertise with software verification, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of CPU developments through comprehensive testing and validation.

You'll work on building and maintaining verification infrastructure at multiple levels - from unit testing to full subsystem verification. The position requires strong technical skills in hardware verification methodologies like UVM and SystemVerilog, along with software skills in languages like Python. Knowledge of Linux operating systems and ARM architecture is valuable for this role.

Responsibilities For CPU Design Verification Engineer

  • Design verification for future CPU developments
  • Build functional verification infrastructure, including unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem level verification environments
  • Produce diagnostic code repositories that sufficiently enable production of quality CPU's
  • Verify and validate performance for both pre-silicon and post-silicon

Requirements For CPU Design Verification Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience with verification methodologies and languages such as UVM and SystemVerilog
  • Experience developing and maintaining verification testbenches, test cases, and test environments
