Google is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer specializing in Game Development for Android to join their team in Bengaluru, India. This role sits at the intersection of game development and Android platform expertise, working to enhance the gaming ecosystem on Android devices.

The position involves collaborating with game developers and Android OEMs across India and APAC regions to support product integrations on flagship Android devices. You'll be optimizing AAA game titles, solving complex engineering challenges, and scaling solutions to improve the broader gaming ecosystem. The role requires expertise in game development using languages like C++, C#, and familiarity with Android tooling such as RenderDoc, Perfetto, and Android GPU Inspector.

As a Developer Relations Engineer, you'll serve as a bridge between the developer community and Google's internal teams, advocating for game developers' needs while influencing Google's product strategy. You'll work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Business Development teams to drive improvements in the Android gaming experience.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in game development, experience with performance analysis, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities For Developer Relations Engineer, Game Development, Android

  • Work with game developers, Android Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) and game engines in India and APAC regions to support exciting new product integrations on flagship Android devices
  • Optimize AA/AAA game titles, resolve engineering problems with Google technologies and scale the knowledge to improve the overall gaming ecosystem
  • Advocate for game developers internally and influence Google developer product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, Public Relations (PR) and other cross-functional teams
  • Drive regular, engineering-focused workshops and meetings with developers to optimize the gaming experience and resolve technical problems at a scale of users
