Engineering Manager, Front End, Google Translate

Google Translate is one of the largest and most loved Google products used worldwide. We are working on enabling amazing translation experiences through instant camera translations, voice conversations, handwriting, and more. The Translate Bengaluru team will be a fully cross-functional team focusing on expanding access to translation services to more of the world, using skills in research, applied machine learning, Natural Language Processing, and Android app development.

As an Engineering Manager for the Front End team in Google Translate, you will:

• Build and lead a new front-end team in Bengaluru.
• Mentor and guide developers, ensuring adoption of engineering best practices. Provide technical guidance on design decisions.
• Manage a team of engineers, which encompasses conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and supporting career development.

You will need strong technical expertise in software development, front-end frameworks, and experience with Android apps and mobile platforms. Your role will involve inspiring and motivating a team working on complex technical challenges, solving complex problems, and leading high-performing teams. Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills are essential for success in this position.
