This role sits within the Geo team, which serves over a billion users monthly through products like Maps, Earth, and Street View.

As a Product Manager for the Google Maps Directions Experience, you'll be at the forefront of developing and enhancing navigation features that impact millions of users daily. Responsibilities For Product Manager, Google Maps Directions Experience

  • Identify and develop features focusing on core user needs and new use cases in directions
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to enhance the overall Directions experience
  • Lead UI and infrastructure upgrades to ensure a scalable and future-proof platform
  • Partner with engineering to improve latency, UI scalability, and reliability
  • Address critical bugs and feature requests to maintain a high-quality user experience

Requirements For Product Manager, Google Maps Directions Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience in designing products in maps or transportation systems
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, research, and other stakeholders
  • Experience in consumer facing products and features development
  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational perspectives
