Description For Program Manager, Data Center Maintenance Planner

Google is seeking a Data Center Maintenance Planner Program Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in maintaining Google's data centers and ensuring smooth operations. The position involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and coordinating with stakeholders across different offices and time zones. As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work, managing CMMS systems, and providing technical guidance for Preventive Maintenance activities. The role requires collaboration with site supervisors and technicians to manage work priorities, develop job plans, and ensure safe and efficient operations. Google's Technical Infrastructure team is fundamental in keeping their networks running and maintaining the architecture that supports all of Google's products. The team takes pride in being the engineers' engineers and focuses on providing the best possible user experience. Responsibilities For Program Manager, Data Center Maintenance Planner

  • Manage the flow of all maintenance work orders by working with Data Center Operations teams and vendors
  • Be responsible for the planning and scheduling of technicians and parts needed to perform maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with facility management in the development and maintenance of schedules and resource leveling by utilizing the site CMMS program
  • Establish and maintain CMMS equipment files, parts inventory, equipment bill of materials, and PM schedules
  • Manage the process of launching a CMMS solution at the site level used in the daily operation of our data centers

Requirements For Program Manager, Data Center Maintenance Planner

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience in electrical maintenance planning, scheduling and associated maintenance work
  • 1 year of experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • 1 year of experience leading/planning facility electrical equipment maintenance
