Security Engineer, Detection

Google is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Core team, focusing on detection and response capabilities. This role combines hands-on security engineering with threat detection and incident response responsibilities. As part of Google's Security team, you'll work to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers.

The position involves building advanced detection mechanisms for various security threats, developing automated remediation systems, and conducting threat hunting activities. You'll be responsible for network and systems forensics, as well as malware analysis. The role is part of the Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products.

Working at Google, you'll be part of a team that owns and advocates for underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure.
