Description For Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Google Cloud AI

Google Cloud AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Infrastructure team. This role combines software engineering expertise with large-scale distributed systems development. As part of Google Cloud, you'll work on technologies that help organizations digitally transform their businesses using Google's cutting-edge technology.

The position requires strong programming skills in C++, Python, or C, along with deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms. You'll be developing infrastructure that powers Google Cloud's AI capabilities, working on distributed systems and large-scale architecture. The role involves both hands-on coding and technical leadership opportunities.

You'll collaborate with teams across Google to build robust, scalable systems that handle massive amounts of data and computation. The work encompasses everything from low-level infrastructure to high-level system design. You'll participate in technical design reviews, mentor other engineers, and help shape the architecture of critical AI infrastructure.

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++, C, or Python; and with data structures/algorithms
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
  • 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks
