Description For Senior Technical Program Manager I, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager I to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This role combines technical expertise with program management skills to drive critical initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll be responsible for implementing communication standards, establishing program review cadences, and leading governance structures that drive executive decision-making. You'll need to be equally comfortable explaining team analyses to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.

  • Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship
  • Lead a governance structure that drives effective executive decision-making
  • Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity
  • Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that target high business impact for the organization and product area

Requirements For Senior Technical Program Manager I, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in program management
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
