Senior Test Developer, Core

Google is seeking a Senior Test Developer to join their Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. Unlike traditional testing roles, this position focuses on automated testing and tooling development rather than manual testing. The role involves navigating Google's massive codebase, identifying weak spots, and designing creative ways to test software effectively.

As a Test Developer, you'll be responsible for developing automation tools, leading test planning and reviews, defining test frameworks, and driving improvements in test infrastructure. You'll work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to contribute to product design and implementation decisions.

The Core team plays a crucial role in building and maintaining the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. They look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers, and strengthen existing systems. The position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $144,000-$211,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role can be based in either Waterloo, ON, Canada or Mountain View, CA, USA.
