Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. This role focuses on building and maintaining Chrome extension review pipelines and reviewer facing services to improve user trust. Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web, focusing on making a better browser across all major platforms. The position involves working with Chrome Web Store teams and collaborating with Chrome Safe Browsing, Google Trust and Safety, and Cloud Safe Browsing teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-stack development, Chrome Extensions, and various programming languages including Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer II, Chrome Web Store

Improve the review tooling and add automation to the pipeline to increase coverage
Build and maintain Chrome extension review pipelines and reviewer facing services to improve user trust
Work closely with other Chrome Web Store teams as well as Chrome Safe Browsing, Google Trust and safety and Cloud Safe Browsing teams

Requirements For Software Engineer II, Chrome Web Store

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent
1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms
