Software Engineer II, Google Messages

Google Messages is a critical communication platform serving over 1 billion users, enabling Android users to communicate through SMS/MMS and RCS standards. As a Software Engineer II on the Consumer Messaging team, you'll be responsible for driving engagement by creating exciting features and optimizing app performance.

The role is part of Google's Android Business Communication unit, working on Android - Google's open-source mobile operating system that powers more than 3 billion devices worldwide. As a software engineer at Google, you'll work on technologies spanning web search, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, natural language processing, UI design and mobile development. The ideal candidate should have experience with mobile development, particularly Android, and proficiency in Kotlin.
