Software Engineer III, Infrastructure and Operations

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Platform & Devices Engineering Infrastructure & Operations (PDEIO) team. This role focuses on building and scaling tools and infrastructure for Chrome, which is dedicated to creating a better, more open web across all major platforms. The position involves taking on complex challenges in infrastructure development, ensuring reliability and performance of systems.

As a Software Engineer III, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for ambiguous problems, writing production-ready code, and maintaining system operational excellence. The role requires strong expertise in Python programming and Linux systems, with a focus on developer tools and infrastructure around builds, tests, and releases.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development systems and cloud computing environments. You'll work in a collaborative environment, reviewing other engineers' code and contributing to documentation and user education.
