Description For Software Engineer III, V8 Bug Detection

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their V8 team, which is responsible for the JavaScript and WebAssembly engine that powers Chrome. Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, V8 Bug Detection

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Develop and maintain the V8 fuzzers
  • Find new ways for guiding fuzzers through better metrics and better detection of V8 invariant violations
  • Help solve triage bugs found through the various fuzzers

Requirements For Software Engineer III, V8 Bug Detection

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
  • Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Swift)
