Google's Raxium display group is seeking a Software Engineer to join their revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology team. This role combines full-stack development with specialized semiconductor manufacturing expertise. The position is based in their state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, where you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining critical manufacturing software systems.

The role involves architecting, designing, and developing custom software applications used in semiconductor fabrication. You'll work with technologies including C#, Python, WPF, ASP Core, and SQL, while focusing on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Statistical Process Control (SPC). The position requires strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

As part of Google's engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to work on technology that enables new functionality in display products, particularly in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. The role offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $141,000-$202,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Raxium

  • Develop, maintain, administer, and enhance the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and engineering software applications
  • Develop software applications for semiconductor tool data collection
  • Implement best practices in documenting user requirements, design, coding, and testing of software solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, leadership, engineers, program managers, and data scientists to understand business and application needs
  • Work on multiple overlapping projects at the same time and work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements For Software Engineer, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Raxium

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience testing and releasing software products
  • 2 years of experience using C#, Python, WPF, Winforms, ASP Core, Blazor, SQL, GEM/SECS and tool communication
  • Experience developing and maintaining the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems
  • Experience supporting MES application
  • Experience on SECS/GEM and tool communication
