Description For Staff Software Engineer, GKE Node and Workload Enablement

Google Cloud is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of next-generation Kubernetes node functionality. This role focuses on breaking down scalability and reliability limitations while enabling large-scale AI/ML workloads. The position involves working on core Kubernetes concepts, including VM/Machines, Resource Management, Workload Management, Kubelet, Pod, and Container runtime across both GKE product and OSS investments.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop ambitious roadmaps and make Node infrastructure simpler, more robust, and more scalable. They will engage with the OSS community and demonstrate expertise in low-level system infrastructure, including networking Linux kernel and memory management.
