Google is seeking a Storage Specialist Customer Engineer to drive their Google Cloud Storage business, with a focus on Google Cloud's NetApp Volumes (GCNV) offering. This senior technical role requires extensive experience in cloud computing and storage solutions, particularly with NetApp systems. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in customer-facing enterprise technology roles, with deep knowledge of NetApp storage solutions and cloud computing environments. Responsibilities For Storage Specialist Customer Engineer

  • Manage the technical aspects of the customer relationship, including product briefings, proof-of-concepts, and coordinating technical resources
  • Identify and address technical obstacles customers face, develop solutions and strategies to overcome them
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure successful implementation of Google Cloud solutions
  • Develop industry specific blueprints to support repeatability and onboarding of new workloads/flows
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required

Requirements For Storage Specialist Customer Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the enterprise technology space
  • 8 years of experience as a technical business engineer in a cloud computing environment with NetApp data storage
  • 3 years of experience in cloud computing
  • Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments with NetApp systems
  • Experience with GCNV offering as a technical business engineer
  • Knowledge of NetApp technology ONTAP, and its integration with Google Cloud (GCNV)
