Google is seeking a System Performance and Architecture Engineer to join their Silicon team, focusing on developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. Responsibilities For System Performance and Architecture Engineer, Silicon

  • Develop models, analyze and project power and performance of compute-centric hardware IP blocks on a mobile System on a Chip (SoC)
  • Study the behavior of various computer, gaming and AI workloads executing on the SoC, identify bottlenecks and opportunities for hardware and software co-optimization
  • Propose improvements in the hardware architecture of the Compute IPs or SoC-level with the compiler, runtime or application software

Requirements For System Performance and Architecture Engineer, Silicon

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in computer or chip architecture, performance, or software development for Compute Internet Protocol (IPs)
  • Experience with computer architecture, TPU/GPU architecture or workload performance analysis
