Description For Technical Program Manager III, Machine Learning Infrastructure, Google Home

Google's Home Infrastructure team is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in Machine Learning Infrastructure. This role is crucial in empowering the development and operation of compelling experiences through scalable and efficient infrastructure. The Google Home team focuses on creating innovative hardware, software, and services for the home, from thermostats to smart displays, with a mission to create a home that cares for its inhabitants and the environment.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll leverage your technical expertise to manage projects from inception to completion, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate effectively across teams. The role offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $156,000-$229,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager III, Machine Learning Infrastructure, Google Home

  • Lead planning and delivery of programs on an iterative development cycle
  • Materialize and analyze data and implementation of dashboards to surface current state, drive forward progress, and report with fidelity on achievements
  • Define and drive offline infrastructure programs
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations
  • Build knowledge of engineering constraints and propose solutions

Requirements For Technical Program Manager III, Machine Learning Infrastructure, Google Home

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure
  • Experience in machine learning capacity planning (e.g., TPU, GPUs)
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience in release management working on software and machine learning projects
  • Experience prioritizing and managing migration, quality, and tech debt projects
