Description For Workspace Engineer

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Workspace Engineer to join their team in delivering professional services for Google Workspace deployments. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping organizations modernize their collaboration and productivity tools. The position requires strong technical skills in cloud technologies, particularly Google Workspace, along with the ability to work directly with customers on implementation and optimization.

As a Workspace Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing technical architectures, managing migrations, and ensuring successful deployment of Google Workspace solutions for enterprise customers. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and best practices while working closely with both customers and Google's internal teams.

Responsibilities For Workspace Engineer

  • Work with customers to design technical architectures, migration approaches and application optimizations
  • Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting
  • Implement and advise customer leadership teams in deploying Google Workspace services
  • Liaise with Engineering and Product teams to commercialize solutions
  • Work with Google's partners to develop their capabilities in managing Workspace services

Requirements For Workspace Engineer

Java
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in Java, Python, Terraform, or similar languages
  • 2 years of experience deploying workspace technologies for customers
  • Experience in deploying or managing Cloud productivity solutions at enterprise level
  • Professional Workspace Administrator certification (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud security, IAM, SSO, OAuth and 2-step verification (preferred)
  • Experience in scripting in low code/no code solutions (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate and influence cross-functional stakeholders
