Description For Software Engineer

GovEagle is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to lead full-stack development initiatives. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the platform's technical direction and growth.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for both frontend and backend development, working with modern technologies including React, TypeScript, Next.js, FastAPI, and Python. You'll collaborate closely with designers to implement UI changes and enhance the dashboard while also optimizing backend functionality and integrating AI/LLM capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in full-stack development. You should be proficient in our tech stack: FastAPI, Python, React, TypeScript, Next.js, and have familiarity with Kubernetes. Experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure GovCloud is a plus.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A strong communicator comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Self-driven and autonomous, with a passion for solving complex problems
  • Experienced in building scalable solutions and optimizing system performance
  • Knowledgeable about secure handling of customer data
  • Familiar with AI/LLMs and DevOps (beneficial but not required)

The role offers significant growth potential, including opportunities to move into customer-facing responsibilities. You'll be working in a fast-paced startup environment, helping government contractors streamline their proposal processes through innovative AI solutions.

Success in this role means delivering features that receive positive customer feedback, implementing UI and backend improvements that drive platform growth, and building high-performing systems that meet customer needs while aligning with GovEagle's strategic goals.

Join us in revolutionizing how government contractors respond to RFPs, working with cutting-edge technologies in a mission-driven environment.
