Gridware exists to enhance and protect the mother of all networks: the electrical grid. The grid touches everything and the consequences can be dire when it fails: wildfires burn, land is destroyed, property is damaged, and lives are lost.
Our team created an advanced sensing system to continuously analyze critical grid behavior. Utilizing high-precision sensor arrays and intelligence, our system identifies and preemptively mitigates faults. The technology has been proven with utilities to bolster safety, enhance reliability, and reduce outages.
As a Firmware QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks for firmware testing, covering static analysis, unit, integration, system, and regression testing. You will work with the Hardware Engineering team to design and maintain automated hardware-in-the-loop test hardware, verify wireless network functionality, and test sensor behavior.
Our devices operate in extremely challenging environments, from snowy mountaintops to forests and deserts, requiring exceptional reliability for up to 10 years. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our firmware through comprehensive testing, documentation, and collaboration with the firmware engineering team.
The role combines technical expertise in embedded systems, testing methodologies, and quality assurance with the mission-critical goal of protecting vital infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to preventing wildfires and improving grid reliability.
