Senior Solutions Engineer

Guac is on a mission to revolutionize grocery retail through AI-powered demand forecasting. Working with major US supermarket chains and backed by Y Combinator, 1984 Ventures, Collaborative Fund, and angels from Instacart and Citadel Securities, we're tackling the critical issue of food waste in the grocery industry.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll play a dual role combining customer-facing responsibilities with deep technical work. You'll collaborate directly with customers' technical teams to understand their infrastructure and implement business logic, while also owning the development and maintenance of ETL infrastructure and data integrations.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for processing large-scale data across multiple customers
• Lead integrations with customer IT systems and data sources
• Expand our recommendation engine to meet evolving business needs
• Contribute to backend services supporting mobile and web applications
• Work with technologies including Python, FastAPI, Dagster, GCP (BigQuery), Dask, and SQL

The ideal candidate brings:

• 3+ years of relevant experience with a CS degree or equivalent
• Strong communication skills and commercial mindset
• Proven experience with ETL systems and distributed data sets
• Background in backend development (Python/FastAPI) is a plus
