Backend Software Engineer

HiHello is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their diverse and exciting team that aims to revolutionize digital brand identity. As a venture-backed company founded in 2018, HiHello has created The Software Platform for Digital Brand and Identity, enabling companies to leverage digital business cards, email signatures, and virtual backgrounds for consistent brand presentation.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building APIs, knowledgeable about databases, and take pride in providing performant solutions. You'll work in a remote environment with a focus on autonomy and open communication. Key responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and developing solutions in Node.JS and TypeScript to scale a complex platform
2. Improving engineering processes, tooling, and efficiency
3. Open communication within the team and cross-functionally to find effective solutions

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL APIs
• Experience with document storage (Firebase Firestore or DynamoDB)
• Previous experience with cloud providers (Google Cloud or AWS)
• Familiarity with Docker
• High standards for work quality

Bonus skills include DevOps experience, understanding of DNS and CDNs, knowledge of AI/ML, and data visualization abilities.
