Description For Senior Security Engineer - Security Event Analysis Team (SEAT)

Intuit is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their Security Event Analysis Team (SEAT) within the broader Security Incident Response Team (SIRT). This role is crucial in helping the organization respond to cyber-attacks and maintain robust security measures.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in security incident response and incident management processes, with a strong understanding of attacker kill chains and methodologies. You'll be responsible for responding quickly to attacks, restoring services, and conducting forensic investigations to determine root causes.

As a member of the SIRT, you'll work closely with other engineers to design and implement security solutions, enhance incident response readiness, and provide valuable guidance to external teams. Your role will involve leading forensic analysis, developing incident response plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be mentoring other incident responders and collaborating with various departments including Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams. You'll need to stay current with emerging security trends and threats while maintaining strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge security tools and technologies, including cloud security platforms, EDR tools, and SIEM solutions. You'll be part of a team that protects Intuit's global financial technology platform, which serves approximately 100 million customers worldwide through products like TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp.

The position offers flexibility with remote work options and the chance to make a significant impact on the security posture of a major financial technology company. If you're passionate about cybersecurity, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to work with a team of dedicated security professionals, this role provides an excellent opportunity to advance your career while protecting millions of customers' financial data.
