Backend Product Engineer (Golang)

Invopop is seeking a Backend Product Engineer to join their team in Madrid. The role focuses on integrating Invopop's platform with financial applications and tax jurisdictions globally.

The company helps global companies like SumUp, Fever, and DeepL manage electronic invoicing across more than 25 countries through a single API. In the next five years, over 40 countries, including all EU member states, will require businesses to issue invoices electronically and report them in real-time to tax authorities.

Founded by Sam Lown (co-founder and former CTO of Cabify) and Juan Moliner (ex-BCG), Invopop has raised €2.5M from top-tier venture capital firms including YCombinator (W23). They've been named Best Startup at South Summit 2024 and highlighted as the Hottest Startup in Madrid of 2024 by Wired.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Backend engineering experience, preferably with Golang
• Strong English communication skills
• Customer empathy and eagerness to engage with clients
• Ability to scope projects and learn new technologies
• Experience with starting projects from scratch

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with founders to analyze technical specifications and requirements
• Mapping internal format (GOBL) to external systems
• Building robust connections with financial applications
• Creating clear documentation
• Direct user engagement for successful implementation
