Description For Data Scientist, Sr Associate

The Corporate Technology Data Science and AI organization at JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team. This role focuses on solving challenging business problems using data science and machine learning techniques across Corporate Technology and supported Corporate Functions.

As a Data Scientist, you'll build effective, scalable, and modern analytical solutions for various banking domain problems and deploy them into production business workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside world-class Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers, with the chance to have profound influence on the firm's business and technology processes.

The role involves working in a modern data and development environment with broad areas of ownership including stakeholder engagement, data mining, insights delivery, and training and deployment of machine learning/LLM solutions. You'll be responsible for developing new insights through business and data understanding, becoming a data expert, and identifying strategic machine learning use cases for tasks such as data analytics, summarization, question answering, time-series prediction, fraud detection, and customer lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in a data science-related field with 4+ years of experience or a PhD with 2+ years of experience. Strong Python skills, experience with data analysis, and excellent communication abilities are essential.   • Master's degree in a data science-related discipline, plus at least four years of industry experience (or: PhD in a data science-related discipline, plus at least two years of industry experience)
  • Extensive experience with data analysis and transformation (especially in Python) and analytics
  • Experience with continuous integration models and unit test development
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Scientific thinking with ability to invent and work both independently and in teams
  • Curious, hardworking and detail-oriented
