Job Description

As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking you will be guiding product teams to deploy infrastructure optimally as a part of their modernization journey. You'll be responsible for assessing application readiness for public cloud migration, enabling application teams to effectively perform run functions, and leading numerous public cloud initiatives from ideation to production.

You'll be working within the Consumer & Community Banking division which serves Chase customers through various financial services including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. The division leads the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth with the most-used digital solutions while ranking first in customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities For Director of Software Engineering

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
Guide teams on Public Cloud standards and best practices
Lead team developing and maintaining cloud standards using AWS services
Own end-to-end platform issues and problem management
Identify opportunities to improve resiliency and availability
Implement continuous process improvement
Analyze platform level changes and communicate impacts

Requirements For Director of Software Engineering

10+ years software engineering experience
5+ years experience building/supporting AWS environments using Terraform
Strong understanding of business technology drivers and architecture design
Experience in managing stakeholders at all levels
Expertise using DevOps tools like Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
Experience with high volume, mission critical applications
Knowledge of container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
