JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their Equities Trading Technology Organization in Athens, Greece. This role is part of the Markets Technology division within the Commercial & Investment Bank, focusing on FPGA development for ultra-low latency trading systems.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be part of a global team with members in New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Mumbai, working on in-house ultra-low latency connectivity and risk management applications. You'll be responsible for developing complex FPGA solutions for Equities trading, with a focus on massive throughput and ultra-low latency performance.
The role requires expert-level knowledge in FPGA architecture and design using VHDL/Verilog, along with experience in high-speed/low latency implementations. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology in financial markets, developing solutions that directly impact trading operations.
The position is based in JPMorgan's new office in Athens, Greece, which represents a significant investment to support their organic growth in the country and bolster innovation efforts in Payments and Markets business globally. Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer - FPGA - Markets Technology - Athens
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering
- Develop complex FPGA solutions for Equities trading with focus on massive throughput and ultra-low latency
- Interact with users and external vendors for requirements gathering and procurement
- Partner with internal teams including business, development, quality assurance and operations
Requirements For Lead Software Engineer - FPGA - Markets Technology - Athens
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Expert knowledge of FPGA architecture and design in VHDL/Verilog
- High speed/low latency FPGA design experience
- Development of verification strategies and writing complex test benches
- Excellent understanding of software and hardware interaction
- Complex RTL and system level simulation
- Experience in achieving timing closure in complex designs
- Xilinx/Altera architecture and design experience
