Description For Software Engineer - Infrastructure & Security

Julius is an innovative AI lab focused on building coding agents with a mission to enable one billion humans to become software creators. Currently specializing in data science and analysis use cases, the platform has impressive metrics: executing 1 million lines of code every 36 hours, serving over 1 million users, and generating over 3 million data visualizations.

As a Software Engineer focusing on Infrastructure & Security, you'll be at the forefront of scaling their cloud infrastructure for code execution. The role involves managing and optimizing their container-based system, which currently handles over 500,000 remote containers monthly. You'll work with a small but experienced technical team from companies like Uber, Microsoft, and Facebook.

The company is already generating revenue and is backed by prestigious investors including AI Grant and founders from leading tech companies like Vercel, Notion, Perplexity, Palantir, Replit, Zapier, Intercom, and Dropbox, as well as researchers from OpenAI and Google DeepMind.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of software development through AI, working with cutting-edge containerization technologies and cloud infrastructure. You'll be responsible for building robust security systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability through comprehensive monitoring and observability practices.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with containerization (especially Kubernetes), cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, networking, and security best practices. If you're passionate about AI and have experience with LLMs, that's a significant plus. The position offers competitive compensation including both salary and meaningful equity, along with comprehensive benefits.
