Founding Engineer (Frontend)

Karsa is building the global dollar account—enabling millions of people in emerging markets to protect their savings from currency volatility through stablecoins.

As a founding engineer at Karsa, you'll be integral to shaping our product from the ground up. You'll own significant portions of our technical stack and drive critical infrastructure decisions, directly impacting users in some of the world's most economically challenging regions.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Mission-driven: Building tools that can protect family savings in collapsing economies
• Has a founder mindset: Ready to be a partner, highly opinionated on product and market
• Hungry: Willing to work 6-7 days a week, often late into the night to serve global users

You'll focus on building intuitive and delightful user experiences, translating complex fintech and crypto functionality into simple consumer flows. The role requires strong product sense and attention to UX details.

Technical responsibilities include:

• Building responsive web and mobile applications using React, Next.js and React Native
• Implementing pixel-perfect interfaces with Material Design principles
• Setting up analytics and monitoring with Posthog
• Collaborating closely with founders on product strategy

The ideal candidate has experience with:

• Frontend development (React, React Native)
• State management and performance optimization
• Modern rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR)
• Testing frameworks and CI/CD
• Analytics implementation

Great to have:

• Fintech/blockchain experience
• Security-focused development background
• Passion for emerging markets
