KRAFTON is seeking a Backend Engineer for their Deep Learning Division with a focus on developing and operating AI-enabled services. This role sits at the intersection of gaming and artificial intelligence, working to innovate game production processes through deep learning technology.
The Deep Learning Division at KRAFTON is focused on four main directions: reducing production costs through AI automation, expanding creative possibilities with generative AI, developing AI-powered virtual friends, and creating endless gameplay experiences through deep learning technology. The team conducts research in various areas including Language Models, Voice Synthesis, Vision & Animation, Reinforcement Learning, and Data-centric AI.
As a Backend Engineer in this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing platform services that leverage deep learning to streamline game production and enable new creative possibilities. You'll work on the full lifecycle of services from deployment to operation, ensuring stability and implementing feature updates. The role requires staying current with rapid developments in deep learning technology and identifying opportunities to apply new advances to game development.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of development experience, with particular expertise in AI-enabled services. You should have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills to work with PMs and leadership, and a solid foundation in cloud technologies and CI/CD practices. Responsibilities For [Deep Learning Div.] Deep Learning Service Dev - Backend Engineer
- Design, develop, and operate platform services that can shorten game production processes and create new creative using deep learning technology
- Design processes related to project deployment and operation, and be responsible for stable operation and functional updates of already deployed services
- Keep track of and share new technology trends in line with the rapid development of deep learning technology
- Handle communication with PM team regarding schedules and deliverables within the service development/operation cycle
- Handle communication to ensure service development direction and progress are well shared with superiors
- Write various technical documents accompanying the service development process
Requirements For [Deep Learning Div.] Deep Learning Service Dev - Backend Engineer
- 3+ years of development experience
- Experience in designing, developing and operating (including incident response) AI-enabled services directly or indirectly
- Ability to proactively analyze and propose solutions to problems and actually execute them
- Ability to understand and materialize development requirements specifications
- Ability to share unexpected issues with team members and upper organization in a timely manner
- Basic knowledge of Cloud, Container Orchestration Tools, CI/CD
- Responsibility to complete assigned tasks
- No restrictions on overseas business trips
