Key responsibilities include managing cloud platform security, implementing perimeter protection, securing cloud-native applications, and leading secrets management initiatives. You'll work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and handle identity and access management (IAM) across cloud environments.

Responsibilities For Staff Cloud Security Engineer
- Maintain and operate secure cloud infrastructures in AWS
- Define requirements for secure cloud infrastructure management using IaC
- Implement perimeter protection and security controls
- Secure cloud-native applications and runtime environments
- Implement cloud workload and data protection measures
- Lead secrets management efforts
- Define and manage IAM requirements
- Contribute to security incident response
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Act as liaison between security team and other departments
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in HITRUST or FedRamp certification process
Requirements For Staff Cloud Security Engineer
- 8+ years of experience in cloud security or related roles
- 3+ years focused on securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
- Industry certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP preferred)
- Hands-on experience with cloud security, IAM, and network security
- Proficiency in cloud-native security tools
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Terraform)
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols
- Experience with incident response
- Familiarity with industry regulations (NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members
