The company has pioneered the world's first 3D-stacked photonics engine, Passage™, designed to connect thousands to millions of processors at light speed for advanced AI and HPC workloads.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of photonics and embedded systems, where you'll be instrumental in developing control systems for cutting-edge photonic interconnect products. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of experts in Photonic, Analog, Digital, Systems, and Network domains to define and implement critical control plane architectures and laser stabilization algorithms.

The position requires a strong background in embedded systems and software development, with particular emphasis on hardware-software integration and kernel-level development. Responsibilities For Staff Embedded Software Engineer- Lasers

  • Collaborate across teams to define control plane architecture for photonic interconnect products
  • Define diagnostics and monitoring architecture for photonic transceivers
  • Implement active laser control and stabilization algorithms
  • Integrate with DataCenter administration capabilities
  • Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems
  • Participate in customer engagements to gather requirements

Requirements For Staff Embedded Software Engineer- Lasers

Python
Linux
  • BS and 8+ years of experience, or MS and 6+ years of experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • Industry experience with device driver and kernel side development
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software integration
  • Practical knowledge of communication and control in embedded systems
  • Experience with developing commercial software and firmware on Linux
  • Experience with Git and CMake
  • Hands-on experience designing control of autonomous systems
