LinkedIn is seeking a Director to lead the Security Foundations Engineering (SFE) team within the Information Security team. This hybrid role will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of securing large-scale, distributed systems and microservices. The position involves overseeing the strategy and evolution of Identity, Access, Crypto/Key Management, and Vulnerability Management areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading development of scalable security infrastructure solutions
- Managing full lifecycle operations of large-scale security programs
- Recruiting and mentoring high-performing security teams
- Partnering with cross-functional Engineering teams
- Developing management practices to improve reliability and performance
- Driving short, medium and long term security service roadmaps
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of security engineering leadership experience, with deep expertise in building and deploying security architecture at scale. They should have extensive understanding of large-scale distributed systems, cloud native computing, and security best practices.
