Responsibilities For Director, Software Engineering-Site Health SRE
- Define and own the roadmap for robust self-serve platforms to manage incident life cycle
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to identify root causes
- Partner with stakeholders to drive reliability best practices
- Define and own the roadmap of bringing observability to critical user journeys
- Develop and implement comprehensive metrics, tools, and dashboards
- Deliver key insights and executive level reporting
- Work with product and platform teams to ensure adequate capacity
- Build a reliability first culture across engineering
- Develop and hire a high-performing team of SREs and Site Operations teams
Requirements For Director, Software Engineering-Site Health SRE
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years in Engineering leadership focused on dev/ops based roles leading teams of engineers of size 40+
- 5+ years in experience with reliability engineering, operating systems at large scale
- 4+ years of building software to simplifying operations and reducing toil in managing large scale infrastructure
- Background in hands-on development in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go Java or Ruby
- Experience attracting, retaining, and developing top engineering talent
