Director, Software Engineering

LinkedIn is seeking a Director to lead the Security Foundations Engineering (SFE) team within the Information Security team. This hybrid role will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of securing large-scale distributed systems and microservices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading development of scalable security infrastructure solutions
• Overseeing strategy for Identity, Access, Crypto/Key Management, and Vulnerability Management
• Managing full lifecycle operations and security architecture direction
• Building and mentoring high-performing security teams
• Partnering cross-functionally to integrate security solutions

Requirements:

• 10+ years security engineering leadership experience
• 10+ years building/deploying security architecture at scale
• 5+ years technical or people leadership
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, search, ML platforms, Hadoop
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Deep understanding of cryptographic systems, distributed systems
• Experience with cloud native technologies like Kubernetes
