The Lead Software Engineer role offers an opportunity to work on challenging technical problems at scale, including designing systems for user path detection, implementing real-time search across billions of logs, and building ML pipelines for automated bug detection. Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer
- Design a system to automatically detect the most common user paths across millions of events
- Implement a search backend for real-time searching across billions of log entries
- Build a machine learning pipeline for automatic bug detection
- Automate database scaling for improved operating cost while maintaining traffic spike response
- Build a system for automatic customer integration recommendations
- Mentor junior engineers and provide coaching to team members
Requirements For Lead Software Engineer
- 7+ years of experience in full stack or backend development, preferably with a SaaS company
- Experience with state of the art cloud technologies
- Hands-on experience building and redesigning highly available distributed systems
- Familiarity with modern Javascript-based applications and frameworks
- Experience in development environments with demanding scalability requirements
- Strong collaboration and transparency in task progress
- Proven success working with leadership and cross-functional teams
