Founding Machine Learning Engineer

Lynx is seeking a founding Machine Learning Engineer to join their team and make a significant impact on their product development. As a YC-funded startup, they're building an AI coding assistant similar to GitHub Copilot, specifically designed for enterprise users with enhanced security features - deploying within firewalls to ensure code privacy. The platform is trained on permissively licensed repos and can be fine-tuned on specific codebases for more relevant and standardized suggestions.

The role offers an opportunity to work directly with founders and take end-to-end ownership of the ML stack. Key responsibilities include building and integrating state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for code generation and understanding, managing data pipelines, model architecture, training, evaluation, and production system integration.

The ideal candidate should have strong mathematical foundations in ML algorithms, proficiency in Python and C++, and experience with transformer models and pre-training techniques. They should be comfortable with popular ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Huggingface, as well as cloud computing platforms such as AWS and GCP.
