Description For Senior Analytics Engineer

Marshmallow is an innovative fintech company revolutionizing financial products for international migrants, starting with car insurance. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in their data engineering team, building scalable solutions for a multi-product ecosystem. The position combines technical expertise with leadership, requiring deep knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and modern data tools like Snowflake, DBT, and Looker.

You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data models that support multiple products and customer journeys, ensuring consistency across insurance, payments, retention, claims, and fraud systems. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to create datasets that drive real-time decisions and optimize pricing across product lines.

Marshmallow offers a unique opportunity to work in a culture that values progress, experimentation, and ownership. The company operates in tribes (Acquisition, Retention, Claims, and Pricing/Underwriting/Fraud), promoting cross-functional collaboration and clear goal alignment. They're building a platform that enables multiple distinctive products beyond car insurance, with data at the heart of this transformation.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in data engineering, strong leadership skills, and a passion for building scalable, efficient solutions. You'll be working in one of the world's most advanced insurance markets, helping Marshmallow scale faster and more innovatively than legacy competitors. The company emphasizes inclusion and diversity, welcoming applications from all backgrounds and focusing on skills and passion rather than demographics.

This role offers the chance to shape the future of financial services for international customers while working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-growing, mission-driven company. You'll be instrumental in building a data-driven, multi-product culture that empowers teams through self-service, automation, and real-time insights.
