Front End Developer

Men and Mice (Acquired by BlueCat Networks) in Iceland is seeking a frontend software developer to join their team. With over 30 years of experience, the company specializes in DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management, aiming to make networks more visible, manageable, resilient, and safer.

The role involves working in an agile development team to implement new features and functionality for a network management solution used by major global companies. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, be self-motivated, adaptable to new technologies, and comfortable with communication.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing high-quality software in an agile environment
• Writing maintainable, high-quality code
• Creating automatic tests
• Participating in scrum activities, design meetings, and code reviews

Required skills and experience:

• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as a frontend software developer
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPv6, or other networking technologies is beneficial but not mandatory

The primary focus will be on the web UI, which uses React and TypeScript. Additional technologies in use include Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services (AWS and Azure), C++, various databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), Git, and REST/OpenAPI.
