Meta is seeking an experienced ASIC Engineer to join their Infrastructure organization's Silicon Engineering team. This role offers an opportunity to work with industry-leading professionals, focusing on developing and supporting innovative ASIC solutions for Meta's data center applications. The position involves comprehensive work across the entire silicon lifecycle, from architecture to deployment, and requires close collaboration with Full Stack Software, Hardware, ASIC Design, Verification, Emulation, and Pre/Post-Silicon Validation & Systems teams.
The role demands expertise in silicon development for data center applications, with a strong focus on userspace driver implementation for network ethernet adapter and AI accelerator functions. You'll be responsible for building and scaling silicon solutions, working on pre-silicon validation, bring-up, and post-silicon deployment while ensuring optimal application performance and reliability.
Meta offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $173,000 to $249,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The position is based in either Sunnyvale, CA, or Austin, TX, and requires significant experience in ASIC engineering, C/C++ programming, and Linux server systems.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on ASIC engineering experience, strong programming skills, and a proven track record in troubleshooting and system development. Additional experience with VFIO, DPDK, SPDK, or other userspace driver frameworks, as well as knowledge of transport stack and distributed computing environments, would be advantageous.
