As an ASIC Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and scaling silicon solutions, implementing userspace drivers for network ethernet adapters and AI accelerator functions, and developing various testing and performance tools.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in ASIC Engineering, with strong programming skills in C/C++ and deep knowledge of Linux server systems. You'll work in a collaborative environment, partnering with Full Stack Software, Hardware, ASIC Design, Verification, and Systems teams to deliver reliable and high-performance silicon solutions.
Meta offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $173,000 to $249,000 annually, plus bonus and equity opportunities. The role is based in either Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX, and offers the chance to work on technology that impacts billions of users worldwide.
The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 8+ years of hands-on ASIC Engineering experience. You'll need proven expertise in C/C++, Linux systems, and a track record of successful device integration and systems development. Experience with VFIO, DPDK, SPDK, or other userspace driver frameworks is highly valued, as is knowledge of transport stack and distributed computing environments.
